At 16, I joined the Somerset Patriots, the Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, as part of their live production crew. I was trusted to rotate between camera positions including home plate, first base, third base, and handheld to capture the game from every angle. Beyond camera work, I also stepped into the control room as a replay operator and occasionally as director, cutting live highlights and calling shots for a professional broadcast. Each role gave me a deeper understanding of what it takes to deliver a high-quality show in a professional sports environment.

My time with the Somerset Patriots gave me a firsthand look at what it takes to succeed in a professional control room. I operated cameras from multiple positions, built live replay packages, and directed pro-level talent, all while adapting under pressure and keeping broadcasts running smoothly. The experience showed me how to stay composed in high-stakes environments and contribute to a production held to the highest standard.
